shenandoah caverns

Nos propusimos hacer cosas distintas siempre que podamos y en esta ocasión el plan ha sido descubrir cuevas. Para ello nos desplazamos hasta uno de los parques naturales que tenemos más cerquita, Shenandoah NP, un lugar impresionante.

Una vez allí podréis escoger entre dos cuevas, muy cerca una de la otra:

·        luray caverns

·        shenandoah caverns

Solo he visto unas así que no puedo comparar y como ninguna somos expertas en el tema, decidir entre una y otra la verdad ha sido bastante trivial... nos hemos basado en ofertas!  Encontramos un descuento, así que nos fuimos a Shenandoha caverns :) Lo cierto es que otro de los puntos que nos sirvió para decantarnos fue el que estas son menos populares, por lo tanto menos masificadas!

El primero una especie de almacén- exposición de carrozas empleadas en cabalgatas previas...

Nos saltamos el yellow barn... ya no podíamos más y es que the main  street of yesteryear... ¡es difícil de asimilar! si sois de esos que os dan miedo los muñecos que se mueven ¡ni os acerquéis! Da como mínimo repelús.

 We decided to try something new, so this time we choose to discover caverns. For that reason, we drove to Shenandoah National Park, the closest national park in the area with 2 different caves, both very close:

·        Luray Caverns

·        Shenandoah Caverns

I have only seen one, so I cannot compare them, and none of us is an expert about caves, so the reason why we chose the second one was simple: the price. We found a discont for this one. Actually another reason why we chose this one was because there are fewer people, so it is more relaxing.

The ticket includes 3 other visits:

·        the yellow barn

·        Main Street of yesteryear

The first one looks like a garage- museum of floats used in the past.

And we did not visit the yellow barn… we where still in shock after The

Main Street of yesteryear... if you are afraid of gigant moving toys do not enter here!
