Boston: Biblio e iglesia.

Cuado llego a una nueva ciudad hay siempre dos cosas que me encanta visitar: la biblioteca pública y las iglesias. Y Boston no iba a ser menos:) Y lo cierto es que he salido encantada. Con el frío con el que la ciudad nos ha recibido cualquier lugar cerrado desde luego se agradece:) y más si son tan bonitos como estos.

Una curiosidad (con la que estoy realmente encantada) : a diferencia de bibliotecas como las de NY o Washington DC donde sí, muy bonitas, pero si quieres estudiar allí... olvídalo o búscate la vida para conseguir un permiso especial de investigación o algo así... demasiado trabajo para ir solo a hacer los deberes. Pero la de Boston si es realmente pública. Sí, puedes llegar allí con tus libros o tu ordenador, sentarte y estudiar (o pasar las horas, jaja) que para eso son las bibliotecas!!!! aunque no se yo si aquí lograría concentrarme... necesitaría un tiempo de adaptación antes de dejar de pasar las horas mirando al techo... (aunque bueno, eso suelo hacerlo la mayor parte del tiempo incluso en las que no son bonitas)

     *un consejo: Al salir del aeropuerto esperad por el silver line shuttle: trasnporte publico que os llevara directamente a south station, en pleno centro de la ciudad y es ¡GRATIS!

When I arrive in a new city there are always two things that I love visiting: the public library and the churches. And of course, Boston was one of these cities. And it was wonderful. With the cold weather that the city welcomed us with, any indoor place is a good idea, especially if it is beautiful.

A curiosity (a really nice one): different cities like NYC or Washington DC have really beautiful libraries but if you want to study there you must obtain special permission (too much work just for doing your homework)… in Boston the library is really public. Yes, you can go there with your book or computer and study (or pass time, lol)

*Tip for your trip to Boston: when you arrive at the airport, check for the silver line shuttle: public transportation that takes you directly to South Station in the center of Boston, and it’s FREE!
